Introduction

Together with Ca Mau, Bac Lieu in on the end of Vietnam's territory at the south. This land has been explored during 17th century combining the rising of alluvium naturally. Therefore, the province has wide field of rice on fertile ground. Caused by the sea currents from the north to south, alluvium accumulated on the side of Bac Lieu to set up ideal gardens for fruits. 280 km from HCMC, Bac Lieu sub-city is built on the bank of Bac Lieu channel and 10 km from seashore. Lately formed compared to other southern provinces, Bac Lieu appeared in 1882 by allocation of French Governor Myre De Villers on basis of a part of land was from Soc Trang and the rest was from Rach Gia. Living on fertile and prosperous land, people in Bac Lieu are broad-minded and hospitalized, the legendary style of southern area.
