Jetstar Pacific launches direct air routes between Da Nang/Hanoi and Osaka

Budget airline Jetstar Pacific officially launched two new direct air routes connecting Da Nang and Hanoi of Vietnam with Osaka, one of Japan’s largest cultural and industrial centres, on September 1.

This is the first time Vietnam and Japan are being brought closer together by direct routes using the low-cost aviation service, which will facilitate the travel of businessmen and contribute to stimulating the increasing travel demand between the two countries.

Accordingly, Jetstar Pacific will use modern aircraft, Airbus A320s, on these routes with a frequency of four flights per week.

Nguyen Quoc Phuong, Jetstar Pacific General Director, revealed that over 20,000 passengers have registered to purchase Hanoi-Osaka and Da Nang-Osaka tickets so far, with 90% of the seats for the first two flights already sold.

The airfare for these direct routes starts from just VND1.5 million, equivalent to US$68.18 or YEN8,800. The tickets are available on the website www.jetstar.com and at agents nationwide.

Vietnam and Japan share many similarities in terms of culture. Currently, Japan is Vietnam’s leading economic and trade partner. The cooperative relations and exchange between the two countries’ localities have also been continuously expanded.

In 2016, Vietnam welcomed more than 740,000 visitors from Japan and the figure is expected to continue growing considerably in the time ahead thanks to the newly launched low-cost direct air routes.
