Vietnam, India boost aviation cooperation

VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air) clinched a strategic cooperation deal with Indian regional airline Air Costa aiming to boost air travel between the two nations.

The signing was timed to coincide with Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s three-day official visit from October 27-29 to India at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

On the occasion, the airline also signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with Angel-Fairy Travel & Southeast Asia University to launch a route connecting Vietnam, Thailand, and India, which is expected to start in December.

The agreements laid the groundwork for Vietjet Air’s plan on expanding its operation in the Indian market.
