Hanoi-Sapa helicopter tour costs VND200 million

KLF Joint Venture Global Investment Joint Stock Company (KLF Global) and Vietnam Helicopters (VNH) have launched helicopter services for tourists on Hanoi-Sapa tour at the price of some VND200 million. It takes three hours for a return helicopter tour from Hanoi to Sapa with five to six passengers.

Apart from air travel, the company also provides other services including first-aid transport, wedding, cargo transport and parachuting.

Helicopter EC 130T2, a new generation of Airbus Helicopters, is equipped with air conditioner and seats for 1-2 pilots and 5-6 passengers.

The price of one hour-flight is listed at US$2,600. The company also conducts Hanoi – Ha Long and Hanoi – Moc Chau return tours at the price of some US$3,500 and US$4,000 respectively. The highest cost for a Hanoi – Sapa return tour (3.5 hour flight) is US$9,240 (around VND200 million).

A VNH representative said air taxi services target foreigners and high-income local tourists.
