Tour itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (693)

Upon arrival in Hanoi, meet our guide and drive to your hotel. You will have time to relax after your journey. Welcome dinner and then enjoy a performance of traditional Water Puppetry (an art form unique to Northern Vietnam, and an interesting, light-hearted introduction to its rural culture). Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise (693/694/696)

Morning start your journey to Halong Bay and arrive at Halong around midday to board a traditional junk for an overnight cruise. Halong Bay is widely recognized to be one of the natural wonders of the world. Thousands of towering pillars of sea and wind-carved limestone karsts formations make the bay become an unforgettable sight in almost travelers.

After lunch, you will have a chance to explore some of the huge limestone caves dotted around the bay and visit a floating fishing village.

Our boat will anchor at a secluded spot where you can swim, soak up the sun on the top deck, or kayaking. Evening, enjoy a seafood feast for dinner right on the boat and stay overnight on board.

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi - night train to Sapa (693/694)

Sunrise breakfast and continue cruising around the clear & emerald water to another part of Halong bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peaks, keeping on another side toward Halong harbor. Have lunch on board and enjoy the rest of the boat trip. Disembark at Halong dock, have short break before en route to Hanoi. Have dinner at restaurant and relax until transferring to railway station to catch the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 4: Sapa (693/696)

Upon early morning arrival at Lao Cai station, we will transfer uphill to Sapa. You will feel right away the difference in the fresh air and cool weather here. After having breakfast and short relax, our car and guide will take you to the Silver Waterfall; from there you can see stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the lush forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park, continue by car uphill to Heaven's Gate (Tram Ton pass), the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Here you will have a fantastic opportunity to view the magnificent scenery. Visit Sin Chai & Cat Cat village of the H'mong people. Then the car waits for you in Cat Cat & takes you back to your hotel in Sapa town. Overnight in Sapa.
